Cookie and Local Storage Notice
This Notice explains the cookies and browser-storage technologies used by CDN.MN, a service of NicNames, Inc.
1. Strictly necessary session cookie
CDN.MN uses one strictly necessary cookie for signed-in Account access.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-cdnmn_session | CDN.MN / NicNames, Inc. | Authenticates the signed-in user, maintains the Account session, and supports security and revocation | Cookie maximum age of 30 days; the server invalidates the session after 7 days of inactivity or after 30 days from sign-in, whichever occurs first, and may revoke it earlier |
The session cookie is:
- HttpOnly, so normal page scripts cannot read it;
- Secure, so it is sent only over HTTPS;
- SameSite=Lax;
- restricted to path /; and
- configured without a Domain attribute under the __Host- browser security convention.
The cookie is necessary to provide Account and dashboard functionality. Blocking it prevents sign-in and authenticated use.
2. Theme preference
CDN.MN may use local browser storage to remember whether you selected light mode, dark mode, or automatic system mode.
This preference:
- is not used to identify you across unrelated websites;
- is not sent automatically with every network request; and
- remains until you change it or clear browser storage.
3. Hosted payment pages
When you open a hosted payment or billing page, Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies for payment security, fraud prevention, session continuity, preferences, and compliance.
Those technologies are controlled by Stripe and governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie notices.
4. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
At the Effective Date, CDN.MN does not use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, or third-party advertising pixels on its own pages.
If we introduce nonessential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this Notice and provide any consent, rejection, or opt-out controls required by law before using them.
5. Browser controls
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary session cookie prevents authenticated use of CDN.MN.
6. Changes
We may update this Notice to reflect changes in technology or law. The current version will identify its Effective Date and Last Updated date.
